This project started in 2016 after meeting friends for a coffee, and we found ourselves remembering the shops and busineses that used to be around Weaverham. When we next met  there was discussion on varying conflicting opinions from other friends. We started a paper copy of what we knew and some time later a website was built in an attempt to collect all the information in one place.

Simplesite was bought out by another company and the webpage was lost, until now and here we are on a new site.

Whilst we don't expect to get 100% accuracy, updates and corrections rely on information being passed to us. We thank all those who have generously contributed and hope new readers to these pages will support the project.
Our biggest problem is with dates busineses came and went, quite a few are estimated (with an "e" after the date,)
It was also decided on migration to this new site to include other buildings around the village which may be of interest.
